Dad.

Forgiveness is never easy, but when it comes, it opens a whole new world to your life. I've learned that you can't rush yourself to forgive - the time just comes. It presents itself with such relief. It comes when you are ready.

This will be the first time in years that I will be wishing my dad a Happy Father's Day. In forgiving him, I have three wonderful siblings in my life and two amazing nephews that will get to know me as their aunt. This Father's Day, I am grateful that I was able to finally forgive my father for leaving me at such a young age and for not being in my life the past 25 years.

Fathers, parents - just as you relish in your parents love, do the same for your children. :-)
