I just learned about the beauty of this wine, Beaujolais Nouveau, which is made once a year (duh) and not to be released any earlier than the 3rd Thursday of November."At one past midnight on the third Thursday of each November, from little villages and towns like Romanèche-Thorins, over a million cases of Beaujolais Nouveau begin their journey through a sleeping France to Paris for immediate shipment to all parts of the world. Banners proclaim the good news: Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé! "The New Beaujolais has arrived!" One of the most frivolous and animated rituals in the wine world has begun."
The wine also symbolizes to many the end of the harvest and the beginning of the holiday season. Also, each bottle runs you about 5-8 bucks. I will definitely be trying this baby out this Thanksgiving!
